NEW DELHI: The Indian Staffing Federation (ISF) has sought changes in the labour ministry’s proposed draft wage rules, saying these may be disadvantageous for gig workers and other part-time workers.

The ISF has suggested that the government allow the option to use digital platforms for all communications instead of just physical display. According to the ISF, section 10 of the draft rules states that an employee need not be paid full day’s prescribed minimum wages if he or she has not worked the number of hours required for a normal working day.
