India’s Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane on Monday took up the ‘keep it up’ social media challenge after fellow teammate Rohit Sharma had passed on the baton to him.

Last week, Yuvraj Singh had nominated Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit and Harbhajan Singh to juggle a cricket ball with the side of a bat. Ajinkya Rahane took to his official Twitter account to post a video of him juggling a pink cricket ball with the side of his bat.

Rahane captioned the post,”Challenge accepted, @ImRo45! Had shot this in the evening so used the pink ball!?? I’m committed to staying at home. Next up @Sdhawan25 @Cheteshwar1 & @Wriddhipops.”

Earlier, former India captain Anil Kumble also responed to the ‘Keep It Up’ challenge after being nominated for the same by former off-spinner Harbhajan Singh.

Anil Kumble like his former teammate Sachin Tendulkar completed the challenge by bringing in his own modification. Kumble couldn’t find a bat and decided to ace the challenge with a folded wrist.

“Thank you, Bhajji for nominating me. I couldn’t find the bat and the ball, but I found the soft one. So I’ll keep doing this. I’ll stay home, follow the government guidelines strictly. Please do the same. Ill further nominate Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman, and my Kings XI skipper KL Rahul. Stay home. Stay safe!” said Kumble.

Rohit Sharma had also posted a video on microblogging website Twitter where he vowed to stay at home and requested the people he nominated to also follow the pandemic rules.

“There you go, @YUVSTRONG12! I’m committed to staying at home. I further nominate @ShreyasIyer15, @RishabhPant17 and @ajinkyarahane88 to innovate and commit to staying home,” tweeted Rohit Sharma.
